Wagenfeld Multi-Purpose Lamp | WNL 30

Wilhelm Wagenfeld, 1930

At the time, the multipurpose lamp by Wilhelm Wagenfeld was dubbed "Bedside lamp, can also be used as a wall lamp" in a brochure from "Weimar Bau- und Wohnungskunst GmbH". These are by no means all possible uses. The WNL 30 is also a piano, shelf, reading or mirror lamp. For the new production, TECNOLUMEN had original drawings of the lamp designed in 1930.

The lamp can be moved using two joints, but the light is only ever emitted to one side. The rotary switch is located on the body beneath the shade. The solid, heavy brass body is plated with nickel instead of chrome, giving the metal an unusually warm look and a fine, deep shine when polished.

Wagenfeld’s multi-functional lamp can also be used as a piano or shelf lamp. WNL 30 consists of nickel-plated metal and an opal glass diffuser.

Each lamp is numbered consecutively and bears the TECNOLUMEN signet.
